Lately I have been using the new audio technology on this blog to make it easy for me to stay in touch with you and y'all as well.
A little too easy...
Wanted to take the time to scratch out a few of these good ol' wordy words to you...the throng...no...not thong...kong...wrong!
Ok,
so,
Am re-reading Valis right now. The first book in Dick's Valis trilogy, my friend Sean warned me not to read the book as it could make me mad...not angry...drooling, cussin', imaginary voice hearin', hallucinatin' nutso of the highest - lowest? - order MAD!
I read it anyway, despite the experience of a serious melon-tweak...
This time it seems less disturbing, which begs more than one question:
1) Has my previous exposure to the inside/outside world of Valis given me -if not quite immunity - resistance to it's noxious un-equilibrium?
or
2) Am I simply more out of my own mind this time around: the one-to-one compatibility of the overlay surely as vicious a sympathy as any hand hath wrought.
I certainly find myself wondering if I am loosing my mind more now than at other points in my life. I am not trying to be dramatic here, just honest. You whom I've had the pleasure to spend time with have glimpsed the frayed edges from which I now speak. Lets just say that I am really interested in things that are extreme. Not so much in the excess, or amplify/attenuate-sense though...it's just that
I don't want to pause on the approach to Paradise. How can you sleep? We're almost there...
THE WORLD (a.k.a. The 10,000 Things).
Be humble in your sleepy hands on this world. Be a killer in Heaven.
